Setting:
We should start with a brief introduction here: In the beginning, God created the universe. In said universe, he created Earth. Before this, he created thing like the Leviathan that will be mentioned in the Purgatory section below. Suffice to say, they were a failure in God's eyes and their prison awaited them. With that little misfire out of the way, there came about the creation of Heaven, angels, and eventually human beings. The whole Bible business provided the basic rundown of everything that happened and so the Apocalypse in the book of Revelations would eventually come to pass because it had been written that way. The angels were meant to follow this path and they did so even when an already scarce God disappeared and nobody knew where He had gone. That is the brief background of what the angels know and how everything came to pass as outlined by the Bible. This version is about to be turned on its ass.

We come to the modern day Earth that people recognize today. People are going about their daily lives and living mostly with being unaware of anything out of the ordinary. This is also a good time to mention that monsters like vampires, wendigos, wraiths, and just about anything somebody can think of or has studied actually do go bump in the night and people are either murdered or assimilated into their ranks. Throw in a couple of demons and this gets swinging into a real party. Most of the time though, this happens and humans are none the wise about what really happens.

Another rare species is the humans that come along that know about all of this and insist on going after these creatures of the night. They are known as hunters. This is where the main characters of this little saga come into play by the names of Sam and Dean Winchester. Through a series of unfortunate events in their past, they are hunting monsters and saving as many lives as they possibly can.

When the Apocalypse is said to begin, it is revealed that Dean is the vessel of the archangel Michael and Sam is the vessel for Lucifer. Their refusal to play their parts in their so-called destinies enrages many angels and sets their lives and those around them on a new path that could either turn out better than they hoped or worse than they can imagine. So what...no Apocalypse? It was postponed? People did not notice aside from a few freak storms? All that matters is that people were once again safe to go on about their lives, not realizing how close they were to imminent doom. The only thing that is important here is that the word of the Bible had been shown to be a path, but not the destiny that the Winchesters brought to the table. A few Horsemen, demons, and some unrelenting angels could not stand in their way.

Where does Balthazar fit into all of this? First off, he's an angel. he's a supernatural being. He has been in Heaven since before humans were created. He has witnessed everything up until the point just after the postponement of the Apocalypse and he is trying to carve his own nitch by plucking free will from the sky courtesy of Castiel and taking it with him down to Earth in the form of Heaven's weapons and his snarky attitude. In a world of hunters, monsters, and anything else one can think of, he just wants to live it up. A chance encounter with Sam, Dean, and his old friend Castiel places him in the middle of the civil war in Heaven or rather the aftermath of a postponed Apocalypse where angels have no idea what to do with themselves, so one Castiel goes off the deep end. The last moments of Balthazar's life was not knowing if he was doing the right thing against his own and being stabbed in the back for it. Free will came at a cost for him as it does for others. In his case, he was betrayed.

The entire theme of this universe is not that monsters, angel, demons, and anything else one can think of exist. That just happens to be what the hunters of this world

Humans- God's most precious creations as stated by many of the angels and Lucifer himself in so many words. They are just as they sound and just as you would expect them to be...when they are not being hunted down by the various creatures that go bump in the night. They live lives out in the normal way and sometimes they come into contact with the supernatural....most of them not really even knowing that they did. Some get eaten and some are assimilated into monster ranks. Other than that, they go about their day and most live their lives without never knowing what might be living amongst them.

Hunters- Humans that happen to hunt down monsters and anything else that might go bump in the night. This is essentially your superheroes in a realistic perspective. They use whatever means they have to get the job done. They study up on weaknesses of various creatures, so that they can efficiently put down as many as they can and save all the lives they can. In return, their lives are arduous. They are forever hunted by those said creatures and can potentially put their own families at risk. This is the sort of job that nobody would wish on their worst enemy. Somebody has to do it though. Sam and Dean Winchester are the hunters that this world seemingly revolves around.

Demons- Creatures created by Lucifer himself, they are corrupted human souls that are(apparently) grotesque in their true appearances that can possess people(and they do not have to ask permission), and sometimes even things like reapers if they are as highly tiered as Azazel was. The only way that one can tell that another is possessed by a demon is when they change the color of their eyes which are usually completely black, but have been seen in red for Crossroads demons, white for Lilith, and yellow for Azazel. They enter and leave a vessel through the mouth and are vulnerable to things like salt and can be trapped in a devil's trap.

Angels- Like our friend Balthazar here, angels are angels. They have wings that nobody has really physically seen before, though you can hear them when an angel suddenly disappears from a room or arrives. Like demons, they take vessels in the form of people generally. An angel has to have permission to take one though. Unlike what most would consider an angel to embody, most do not exhibit free will and are ruthless in getting their job done without question. They are highly resilient, only being able to be killed in a specific way. They have vulnerabilities such as Holy Fire/Oil and certain Angel Killing knives that they all have. As far as free will where Balthazar comes from, Castiel trying to change the plan for Heaven went against what they all understood to be what their purpose was. Balthazar followed suit, faked his death during the Apocalypse, stole Heaven's weapons, and went to live it up on Earth. Their true forms tend to burn out the eyes of the unfortunate one gazing upon them or just outright killing them. Pleasant, yes?

***Castiel's decision to turn his back on rigid structure in favor of free will is Balthazar's reasoning to fleeing to Earth with stolen items from Heaven after faking his own death. Castiel started something important and the angel could see that. The hierarchy of Heaven is something of a puzzle that still has yet to be smoothed out even in the latest of episodes.

***Castiel is one of the most important angels in regards to Balthazar because they have apparently fought in many battles together and Castiel himself mentions that they are good friends. From the point that Balthazar comes from, Castiel has become utterly determined to take in all the souls of Purgatory into himself to have the power to stop Raphael, the archangel that is attempting to take control of Heaven and restart the Apocalypse.

Vessels- Humans usually that are possessed by angels or demons. Demons do not have to ask consent to take over a body, but angels always need consent. They have to have their vessels say yes. The person does tend to remember what they went through in bits and pieces. For an angel's vessel, it is normally because they are chosen. Many times it is mentioned that it runs in the blood. For demons, this is not the case. They take whatever they damn well please. Currently, Balthazar is inside of a vessel though no information has been given on the man. All that is known is that his vessel had to have said yes for him to be possessing him.

God- You must be wondering where God is in all of this. He created everything and now the world is just trucking along without guidance. None of the angels know where He is. There are only a handful that have actually seen Him before and absolutely none of them have a location. To the entirety of the Host of Heaven, it is a common belief that God is either dead or no longer cares about what happens.

***There are many different kinds of gods depending on the religion and they all exist in their own respective forms. They also do not get along too well together when push comes to shove.

Monsters- Creations of Eve, the Mother of All. They all have Alphas which are the first of their kind and they resist more of the weaknesses that those after them have. These are the vampires, werewolves, wraiths, rugaru, and other such abominations wandering the Earth. They all have different ways of feeding, strengths, and weaknesses. These are the general fodder that hunters have to deal with on a near daily basis. They are everywhere and the general population has no idea that they exist nor do they want to. Fiction has a way of biting one in the ass.

Ghosts- They are very prominent on this Earth. They occur when a person dies and their soul is obviously not within heir bodies any longer. If they refuse to move on when a reaper comes calling then they remain behind. Their anger builds over not being alive any longer. The desire for revenge is also a large part of what turns them into vengeful spirits that cannot be saved. They are weak to rock salt, or really salt in general, and iron as some monsters tend to share as a weakness. If the bones of the deceased are burned then the ghosts is finally laid to rest. If bones are no longer around then a special object may be what they are attached to. That needs to be burned.

Reapers- More or less the children of Death. They go around to take the lives of those that are intended to die and assist them in moving on with their afterlives. Nobody can see them unless they are dead(though Sam and Dean intentionally use Astral Projection at one point and can see them). They are unbiased and really really tired of people whining and pleading. Death is even more inclined to dislike

Heaven- Where humans go when they die and where the Host of Heaven(archangels and angels) dwell. Every soul that goes here has their own personal heaven where their greatest hits from life play for them to grant them that everlasting peace. As far as there has been shown, there is a garden there where the angel Joshua is able to converse with God. Angels can look in on the Heaven of any soul there. There were weapons in Heaven like the Staff of Moses, but Balthazar decided to swipe those.

Hell- The place where dark souls go and those of demons. It is currently being ruled over by the demon Crowley. There are only second glimpses into what Hell is like according to Dean Winchester, but it is all about torture and corrupting a soul until it becomes evil or more or less a demon. It was mentioned during the earlier episodes that Hellraiser got most of the points right in terms of accuracy.

Purgatory- God created this little prison originally for his first beasts: The Leviathan. They were ravenous for everything and threatened to consume all in their path, so God created that place for them and put them there. This is also the place where monsters like vampires go when they are killed. Nobody knew where Purgatory was until the end of Season 6 when Castiel took in every soul there which lead to the main antagonists of the next season with the good ol' Leviathan being let out. Leviathan are nasty black goo things that can take the forms of others and assimilate memories. They also really like to eat.

Earth- This is where humans and the various monsters reside. This is where the majority of this story plays out. Humans go about their day to day lives shopping, working, having relationships with one another, raising families, making friends, etc. with the occasional interruption of monsters, demons, and angels. The world keeps on spinning and the billions of people go on living. Supernatural things just happen to be a part of daily life. On the surface, this is the typical Earth without anything futuristic going on in it. Basically this is what you see today and think of as Earth as well as the time period.

The current Earth is still the same as it was even post-Apocalypse that never happened. Whatever freak storms and the like that occurred were seen as that and people were none the wiser to what almost happened. Just another day in a normal world with supernatural beings and a world that was once held in the balance of angelic warfare...you know...the usual.

Free Will- This really needs a category all on its own. The theme of this journey that involves every being that the Winchesters come across. It is what drives the eventual postponing of the Apocalypse because two brothers decided on their own destiny. Their influence on Castiel reverberated throughout Heaven. Balthazar was one of the ones to latch onto this concept and flee. Free will divided Heaven.

Personality:

"The footsteps I'm following, they're yours. What you did, stopping the big plan, the prize fight? You did more than rebel. You tore up the whole script and burned the pages for all of us. It's a new era. No rules, no destiny. Just utter and complete freedom."

The first thing that anybody would be able to see in Balthazar is that he wants to do anything that he pleases. It is in the swagger that he has in how he stands and the way he talks so carefree about how he happened to have an encounter with multiple partners. He speaks very seriously about doing things like blowing coke since there is nothing that can be done after the Apocalypse was cancelled. His home is large and garish and there is dance music as well as multi-colored lights in the room that Castiel finds him in the first time that Balthazar is seen. Not only that, but there is a piano in the room that he may or may not be able to play. With the way that he insist on trying it all, that is likely one of many things he actually know how to do. He makes references later on to having been about to drink alcohol out of the navel of an unknown lady.

If anything, he definitely enjoys living it large. Without having to go by the rules of Heaven that insisted on having an untimely end for many of them and all that pomp and circumstance, he wants to literally have everything that he possibly can. That was a major reason for him just up and stealing what is not his and using them as he pleases. He even moonlighted as a crossroads demon by breaking up the Staff of Moses and trading a piece for a young boy's soul. When questioned about taking said soul, he makes light of it by referring to the economy and how souls are the only thing that he can make any money off of.

He is actually knows a lot about pop culture. He knew what the Titanic was and who Celine Dion is. During the episode "The French Mistake", he makes reference to The Godfather and comparing that to their situation at that time with Raphael putting hits out on all of them. He knows about different types of alcohol. The culture could come from his deal of wanting to try it all or it could be coming from his unnamed vessel. Either way, he is accustomed to modern films and just art in general. Since he was living in that mansion with fine architecture around, he definitely appreciates it.

The way that he stands and the way that he speaks is very easygoing. It goes along with being so carefree about anything that he has to say. he tries to make light of the situation no matter what the situation is. He does not display any feeling whatsoever in being the reason that so many souls would end up being created and lost when he unsank the Titanic(in which he went into the past and was the First Mate of said ship named I.P Freeley...if that doesn't display his sense of humor then nothing does) for Castiel. It is the same sort of reaction he had to the boy's soul that he was willing to take just for what he could make off of it. He never really conveys any sort of sympathy over who might die or will end up dying because of him as long as he does what he needs to do for himself or for Castiel.

He obviously cares a great deal for his brothers and sisters who happen to be the other angels. He has become tired of witnessing all the fighting because, according to him, it is never going to be over hence why he ended up stealing Heaven's weapons. He would rather not be a part of anything that will end up getting him into any trouble, but told Castiel that he would of course help him. In the beginning and throughout the majority of season six, he does what he is told without question until the Winchesters point out to him that Castiel is working with Crowley to retrieve the souls from Purgatory. It is obvious he did not want to believe it and that the realization of that reality got to him no matter how even his tone can be.

"Sorry, you have me confused with the other angel. You know, the one in the dirty trench coat who's in love with you. I don't care."

His sense of humor is dark and often cutting. He is especially like this around human beings. He refers to Dean as being a 'hairless ape' for trapping him in Holy Fire and continues to hold a special irritation with the brothers to the point of proclaiming Sam to be an idiot for summoning him when soulless Sam wanted to keep his soul out of his body. Did we also mention that Sam threatened to fry up his wings to get Balthazar to release that boy's soul before this moment? He still ended up assisting Sam, but he was not above proclaiming why he would do so. He has an intense dislike for Dean and being able to get back at him in this way was more pleasing to him than simply not giving Sam anything to work from. In fact, he just appears to dislike people in general. Angels tend to have that superiority vibe that they are not afraid to flaunt and Balthazar is no exception.

The only time he treated humans any different was when he was having relations that he only mentioned in passing as part of his tour of trying as many things as he possibly can. Even then, he is really only treating them as means to and end for an experience not unlike the casual mentioning of blowing coke. Life is a party to him and he wants to live that up. When Sam and Dean continuously call on him, that becomes something of an annoyance to him and assisting them later on never sits well with him.

There are often times when he will refer to his brethren by little nicknames like 'Cassie' for Castiel or 'Raphie' for Raphael. It is a playful way for him to deal with making light of a dire situation though it also is a sign of brotherly affection he has with them. He called Raphael 'Hunny' and other ppet names one would give to a female. At that point, he was not in the position of being potentially destroyed by Raphael because Castiel was there to protect him more or less, but really...this never stopped him from mouthing off even with the threat of death. The only time he really conveyed genuine fear was of Castiel when Balthazar became a double agent against him. That is when the true cracks showed through his normally veiled-in-snark demeanor.

On the subject of that alternate reality, it was all Balthazar's plan according to Castiel to send Sam and Dean into that alternate world to use them as decoys against Raphael and Virgil. He used them in order to keep eyes off of Castiel and himself in order to retrieve all of the weapons and for them to be in the hands of Castiel himself. Once they were able to achieve what they intended, they confronted Raphael with what they had and openly threatened the archangel into fleeing. Castiel even mentions that he would have done the same thing if he had considered it himself. He came up with this in order to protect not only himself, a topic he made unendingly clear before he sent Sam and Dean to that other reality, but Castiel as well.

"I know I'm going to live to regret this, but... I'm officially... on your team. You bastards."

As far as he would go to protect Castiel and follow his orders, even to the point where he would attempt to sneak up on Fate herself to stab her from behind if he had to, being faced with the realization of what his brother was actually doing was something that obviously got to him. He did not like having to return to the Winchesters to inform them that he would be their double agent after what he heard from his old friend. In his questioning of his friend, it upsets him greatly that Castiel would risk his own vessel to contain the souls of Purgatory. Though his voice does not appear to change, his face betrays his shock. He may have gotten away with lying to the other angel at first, but his becoming a double agent against Castiel earned Balthazar his untimely end.

He expressed how upset he was that Castiel was doing what he was doing. With the conversation he had with the other angel, he betrayed his concern over the other. The only reason he ended up becoming a double agent was due to that concern and the desire to prevent Purgatory from being opened and ultimately pilfered. It was because he got a general vibe of being threatened that he vocalized to Sam and Dean his intentions of joining their side. It is all about surviving for him. For him to turn against his old friend was a lot for him to consider. It made him angry and frustrated that he had to do so against his own kind no matter if it did involve saving his own skin.

He made it quite clear to Dean how uncomfortable it is for him to be doing all of this behind his friend's back when the human decided to try and get him to do more than he intended to give. It is easy enough to irritate Balthazar when he feels like he is being pushed without the other understanding the stakes of it all. This is the only time that he displays any sort of feeling towards somebody other than himself and living to fight another day. He did assist in helping Dean find out where two very important people were being held captive, but it is difficult to tell whether he did this out of the 'goodness' of his heart or not.

Balthazar is a carefree soul with a snarky sense of humor that he does not mind tossing around to those that will hear him with a taste for the finer things(and anything at all really). He had an intense will to survive and will run if he has to in order to continue to live. He faked his own death during the almost Apocalypse, stole what he wanted to from Heaven, and tried to carve himself up a nice corner of the world for himself. He dislikes humans and might have even despised Sam and Dean for coming along and ruining it. A part of him probably wishes he did not know a thing about what Castiel was doing, especially the working with Crowley part with the taking in all the souls of Purgatory as the cherry on top of this failure sundae, and he ended up doing exactly what he did not want to do: Not survive.

Though he displays a great deal of contempt for Sam and especially Dean, he displayed absolute loyalty to Castiel(at least in the beginning). Even when he had been convinced that his old friend was doing something reckless and had even not so subtlety been threatened, he felt angry that he was going against Castiel and made sure to tell the boys how much he disliked what he was doing. He cared a great deal for other angels(his brethren) and the idea of his friend exploding alarmed him. No amount of expertly covering up his feelings, or a lack there of in the expertly department, could keep him from being stabbed in the back by a Castiel blinded by his own vision.

In Tu Shanshu:
This angel was willing to follow Castiel's example and leave Heaven to pursue free will. All in all, he should be able to adapt to something like this without much trouble. Sure it will be strange, but it is a lot better than what is going on back home. Since he has the good luck of being stabbed in the back by Castiel before he shows up here, all of this might just come off as something like Heaven for him. It will not be what he understands it to be, but it beats being dead and just plain gone in his own world. Adaptation wise, he will still be a bit snarky with people regardless, though even he can befriend somebody if he wants to, but he will not afraid or too perplexed...aside from getting past the whole we're on a turtle thing.

Of all of the characters from the series that happen to be angels or demons, Balthazar would be one of the few that adapt rather well over a short amount of time. It is true that he will be confused by all of this. Who wouldn't be? It is because he is pulled from the arms of death that he will be more willing to accept an afterlife(no matter how strange). His greatest task here will be in what may or may not happen when he runs into Castiel since that was his old friend and the one that ended up killing him.

Appearance: Ménage à un, Ménage à deux, Ménage à trois, Ménage à quatre

Height wise, his actor Sebastian Roché is 5'11. That is how tall he will be though his angelic form is likely much much taller(not that anybody will be seeing that unless they want their eyes burned out and/or they want to be dead). The actor is French and sounds vaguely British, so he has a lovely little accent to use for snarking.

Abilities:
(Let me do this the right way.)
***I will attempt to summarize the basics here. Angels in this universe can do some pretty crazy things. Aside from him being very intelligent...

Time Travel/Warping Reality: One thing I will say for sure is that he cannot go back in time to alter history like he did with the Titanic. That was due to canon issues at the time allowing all of the rules to be broken. So there is definitely the whole aspect of being able to go backwards and forwards in time. This is something that he will likely not be doing here unless somebody really wanted to know how an event would turn out. Even then, it is less likely to be used here if at all. He was also able to send Sam and Dean into an alternate world where they were part of a television show.
Invulnerability: Angels tend to be able to take a whole lot of punishment. Stabbing him or trying to crush him...let's face it. This is an angel. He can be injured, but the usual weapon ain't gonna cut it. There is likely another being that would be able to injure him here and there will is always the possibility of an event here. He could still be killed with an angel killing weapon from his own world and whatever somebody else might have akin to that. He can be warded off by specific symbols(Enochian magic/sigils). He can be harmed with holy fire and trapped within a circle of that as well. And also archangels(because that had to be mentioned again as an angel killer).
Healing: This goes along with these other categories, but it kind of earns its own. An angel can heal the wounds inflicted on their vessel's body. Superficial wounds will disappear in seconds though those made by otherworldly weapons, depending on the nature of them, will take longer to heal.
Possession: Angels have to possess bodies to manifest on Earth if they don't want to burn eyes out or outright kill people. The vessel he is currently in does not have a name and the history is never gone into. The vessel he is in had to say yes. he could possess other vessels during the right circumstances, but he likes this one just fine.
Physical Strength: Angels are stronger than humans. There are many demons and monsters. Obviously they can fight other angels. They have the ability to be able to kill other angels. An angel like Balthazar probably will not be able to take on an archangel or something akin to that, but he can hold his own fairly well.
Mental Strength: By this, I mean telekinesis. Balthazar can move objects and living beings with the power of his mind. If somebody pisses him off, they are going to get slammed into the wall without question. Common angels have been shown to be able to make a human go to sleep by touch.
Demon Smiting: An angel can put their hand on top of a lesser demon's head and exorcise them. Demons also can exorcise an angel back to Heaven. Give and take it seems. Angels as well as hunters know incantations to exorcise and can also obviously create devil's traps if they so please.
Teleportation/Flight: Unless you have the ability to see past the veil to be able to see the true form of supernatural things without their eyes burning out, it is going to look like Balthazar is teleporting from one place to the other. When an angel disappears from sight or appears, the sound of wings heralds this. Papers and other debris close by will often seemingly flutter as if there is a wind in the room.
Knowledge: Angels have been around for a while. Not only does he have the millions and millions of years of being in existence under his belt, but he also has whatever knowledge that his vessel has. Barring what little he can get from that, he knows Enochian magic of his own and many other spells and rituals like what he did for Sam. There are obviously many more, but assisting him in figuring out how to pollute his vessel was the main one shown.
Live Forever and All That Jazz: Angels are immortal. They do not age or become ill. No human disease is going to effect him. Unless there is an event that would make him vulnerable to something here then he will keep on ticking.

~Some spells he knows~
*Enochian sigils: In the series, these are runes derived from the respective language that can do many things. They are most frequently used in the series to keep out angels and to hide people from angels.
*Angel banishing sigil: A particular symbol drawn on the wall in blood that will, when activated, banish an angel temporarily to Heaven with their vessels included in that. It will not harm them, but they do not enjoy it one bit.
*He will also know about demon banishing spells, but this is pretty standard for angels.

Any of the other abilities that happen to be intrusive and godmoddish will not be used unless the one that will be affected by it allows it.

Inventory: Nothing but the clothesand meat suit on his back. Oh, and the standard angel killing sword that comes with every angel.

Suite: FI-2A

Third Person:
So Balthazar might have been going in and out with listening to the explanation of this place. To be honest, all he could really think about were his last few moments and maybe a bit earlier in the better times when he was kicking it back with a few particularly lovely ladies. Now those were the times he wanted back. Of course he could not really have that given that he was so unceremoniously placed in the line of fire when Castiel showed up. He could have gone a little bit longer before being dragged into all of that. Helping a friend? Sure. No problem there. No doubt in his mind that he would step up for somebody he had been friends with since...well...centuries? Millenniums? It was all like the blink of an eye really, so...

A long time. He could go with that. The point was that he'd do anything for a friend. And where did that trust get him to? A couple of smartass little monkeys calling on him whenever they couldn't solve their own problems. He was always in the middle of something important. Did they have any idea how hard it was to find a decent party or an acceptable escort? No? He didn't think they did or they would have the decency to leave him alone. He had his hands full just helping out Cas. Just thinking about that with everything that happened...just what was his friend thinking? Why did it come to all of that? Why didn't he listen to reason?

Damn them though. Damn Sam and Dean for telling him what was really going on. Everything he did for them after that, everything against Castiel, felt like complete and utter torture. To go behind the back of a friend and then have those boys demand him to do everything for them to find those answers they sought...just too much. it pushed him enough to harshly remind them of what he was doing to his friend. It should have been obvious and he should have paid more damn attention when he turned his back to Castiel. He should've known. Maybe part of him still didn't want to even after the fact.

"For the love of everything, is this really the time for my life to be flashing before my eyes?"

Did he just say that out loud? The chatty bunch that welcomed him here in so few words were not even looking at him. He rolled his eyes a bit and turned his attention elsewhere. As much as he would love to pry some answers out of them, he had a feeling that they would provide little and he would be more frustrated and highly underwhelmed. If he was not the only one being brought here then somebody else would have more answers. That was a great big if on his end, but there it was. He bit back the usual biting remark he could say against his companions here, instead sitting back and sighing loudly.

"I'm going to need copious amounts of alcohol or maybe something a bit more mind numbing. I don't mean the 'Oh that's a nice buzz' kind either. I mean the kind where you're wearing somebody else's clothes and you never remember the past eight hours or so."

And of course, the chatty ones remain not so chatty.

Network:
This thing on? I don't remember stumbling into one of those little kiosks for something like this. It's not even really my style. I show up here, meet some weird locals, and now I'm wherever here is supposed to be.

[Not really the most eloquent thing to say right off the bat, but what is? This is clearly some sort of illusion and he is probably talking to nobody in particular. Maybe he's drunk right now. Last time he checked though, it takes a lot more than a couple of glasses to tank an angel. Drinking is essentially his hobby....well...maybe one of many was a better way of putting it.]

Listen...I'm all for an afterlife. I don't remember a time though where I ever considered a bloody turtle as the epitome of what my in-between or what have you would be like. I always pictured something with a little more pizazz.

[And by pizazz, he means the offer of specific kinds of encounters with the opposite sex. If he is going to be the proud owner of a piece of this afterlife then he wants legitimate compensation for the pain and suffering of not knowing where he is.]

At least tell me there's a decent place to get a drink around here. That would really round out my experience aboard this, er...turtle paradise.
